Hi!!!

Presenting Muthu Keta Vessa with a Renowned Guest Artist

Dear Parents,

I am delighted to inform that a renowned musician and a singer in Sri Lanka Visharadha Samantha Perera is participating as a guest artist to "Muthu Keta Vessa" Children Concert organized by Perth Sinhala School.

Samantha is one of the most influential musicians in Sri Lankan music. He has contributed immensively as a music director, a composer and a singer to Sri Lankan music and has endeavored to develop a unique style of music by combining Sinhala folk tunes, Hindustani music, Western music and many other streams of music in his compositions while adapting them to fit contemporary music. He is one of best students introduced by Maestro Premasiri Khemadasa to Sri Lankan music. Samantha has contributed as a musician to many films, teledramas and thetarical productions of Sri Lanka and has received many international and national awards in recognition of his value addition to the field. While "Maha Samayama" is one of his recent theatrical music productions, receiving the "Bunka Award" from Japanese Government for the best music director in 2012 and "Raigam Tele Awards" for the best music director and singer in 2011 (the only musician todate who has got both awards at one awarding ceremony)  demonstrate his unique competency and talents as an artist.

More importantly, he has given his consent to do more than just attending as a guest artist. I am so sure that his contribution towards voice and instrumental training, concert preseantation and specially to communicate a key message to the audience would be great.

Also please note that we have received sponsorships to cover his visa processing fees and air fare.

Please see the flyer for more details and share with your friends who are not a part of PSS.

Thank you.
