Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for attending PSS Avurudu Celebration held on last Sunday during school hours. It was good to see conducting our Children Association Meeting on the theme Sri Lankan New Year Celebration.
Thank you teachers and parents for training students to deliver speeches highlighting new year customs, traditions, sports and special food; to sing new year songs/raban pada, to play instruments focuing on Avurudu Jana gee and to present dancing items highlighting the beauty of new year.
On behalf of teachers, I am also greatful to all the parents who brought new year food and the parents who did the roster on the day supporting our celebration.
Also we recognize the good job done by the President and the Secretary of Children Association on the day.
While recognizing the support given by PSS committee in organizing PSS avurudu celebration, I highly value the presence of parents to the student meeting and related activities on the day.
On behalf of teachers, I wish a very prosperous and happy Sinhala New Year and hope all of you will have a wonderful holiday period with your family.
P.S. The school will commence its classes on the 5th of May for the final term of 2012/2013 academic year.
Thank you.
